Our Survey Says...

Those well known words of Les Dennis on Family Fortunes very often followed hilariously embarrassing answers from over-eager contestants.  The large 'X' and it's infamous accompanying noise which followed just emphasised how ridiculous some of their answers were.

At Atlantic, we like to ask our employees about their views on green issues, which could be potentially embarrassing for us too.  As a company which prides itself on it's green credentials, it would be slightly humbling to find that our employees didn't share our views.

In December 2009 we ran our annual Sustainability Survey, which encouragingly became the most successful online initiative ever on our company intranet.  I'm pleased to report that there were no red-faced moments, as the results turned out to be very positive indeed.

Thankfully, 99% of our employees are actively interested in sustainability and green issues.  On top of this, 99% of our employees believe that we've made progress in our sustainability initiatives in the past year, whilst 82% believe that they can personally make a difference and help us become more sustainable in the future.

We all realise that there's always room for improvement, so we go into 2010 knowing we can still do better and determined to press forward to new levels of green-ness in the year ahead.

Oh, and in-case you're suspicious of our overly positive results, our survey wasn't based on 100 people in the street like those on family fortunes, our survey was completed by 2,266 people to be precise.
