One of the current hot topics in the Energy Industry which we have already discussed in this forum is the current plan to deploy smart meters.

Everybody from customers to politicians can see the benefits that these meters will bring in terms of accurate bills etc. But there are many future benefits still to be developed that this technology will facilitate.

'Green' employees

As you will be aware from some of my previous posts, Atlantic runs a number of internal initiatives promoting green issues amongst its employees. Over the past two years in particular, we have been trying to encourage our employees to think 'green' in all aspects of their work related activities, from travel, through energy and water consumption, right down to recycling and reducing paper usage.

Have you noticed that lightbulbs of a certain wattage have become harder to find?
The major retailers and lighting industry have entered into a voluntary agreement to phase out incandescent lightbulbs.

Thank you to everyone who has taken time to post comments on my forum post since the New Year.

Both January and February have been exceptionally busy months and our staff across Customer Service have worked hard to cope with the extra contacts received.
