Warm and Cosy, without the cost

The evenings are drawing in, the leaves are falling, the wind howls and many parts of the country are already being affected by adverse weather conditions.  Early November is also traditionally the time that many of us switch the central heating back on as the chill of winter starts to take hold.  There's nothing better at this time of year than being cosy and warm at home, whilst the weather rages outside.

Climate change is top of the agenda these days and various initiatives are running around the world to help reduce the effects of carbon on the environment.  You may have already heard about the European Union's declaration that 20% of all energy consumed will have to come from renewable sources by 2020.

Men at work keeping the lights on

The nights are drawing in and it's getting colder. At this time of year we all realise how much we depend on electricity and gas. Thankfully the networks in place to help keep the lights and heating on are very reliable but they do go wrong sometimes. If the lights go out would you know what to do?
